Cuyamaca Peak – Elev. 6512 ft./1985 m. A 10′ non-battered enclosed timber tower with a Region 5 4A 14’x14′ live in wood cab was constructed here in 1918. This was replaced in the 1930s with an L-1600 Series 30′ steel K-Brace tower with a Region 5 C3 14’x14′ live in wood cab. Cuyamaca Peak was incorporated into Cuyamaca Rancho State Park in 1933. The Cleveland National Forest continued to operate the lookout well into the 1970s. The lookout was either burned in a wildfire or demolished by the mid-1980s.
